Phone systems we connect to
Your system, made hotel-ready
Most hotel PBXs were never built for today's guest. HotelGenie sits alongside yours over standard trunks, so nothing gets ripped out on day one. Our team confirms your exact model and software version on the demo.
Avaya
Avaya IP Office and Aura
Keep your Avaya system and its handsets. HotelGenie connects over SIP or PRI to add room-level E911 with staff alerts, the guest room phone on mobile, AI call answering and texting with guests.
Cisco
Cisco Unified Communications Manager
Running Cisco CUCM? Link it to HotelGenie over SIP and give the front desk a hotel operator console with a live room board, while guests get one-tap calling from their own phones.
Mitel
Mitel MiVoice and older Mitel systems
Mitel is one of the systems we work with most. Connect over SIP, PRI or T1, keep your extensions and dial plan, and add guest messaging, E911 with dispatchable room location and request routing.
NEC
NEC UNIVERGE and SV series
NEC systems with SIP or PRI trunks can feed HotelGenie for room-level emergency alerts, AI concierge and guest texting, without replacing the handsets your staff already know.
Older and analog
Older, analog and end-of-life systems
Still on an aging system with analog room phones? HotelGenie Voice Bridge keeps analog or SIP handsets working, so you can retire the phone closet room by room instead of all at once.
Any SIP
Any SIP-capable PBX or carrier
Panasonic, Unify, 3CX, a hosted PBX or your SIP carrier: if it speaks SIP, PRI or T1, HotelGenie can connect. Tell us what you run and we will map it on the demo.
What makes HotelGenie different
Cloud-built, and still working when the internet is not
Most cloud phone systems go quiet the moment the internet drops. HotelGenie adds PhoneGenie Edge on site, so room, front desk and department calls keep working through an outage, 911 stays on a local line, and phones reconnect to the cloud on their own when the connection returns.
- Room-to-room, front desk and department calling stays up during an outage
- 911 goes out a local line at the property
- Every change made in the cloud reaches the property in about a second
- Managed from the cloud, with nothing to configure on site
Two ways to start
Keep your PBX, or replace it. Your call.
Add on
Keep your current system
Connect HotelGenie to the PBX you have and switch on only what you need first.
- No forklift upgrade

- Add E911, guest app or AI concierge in days, not months
Replace
Move to the HotelGenie cloud PBX
Retire the old system and run every room, department and staff phone from one cloud platform.
- We port your existing numbers
- Operator console, call queues and voicemail built in
- Local survivability on site, managed from the cloud

FAQ
Questions about connecting your phone system
Does HotelGenie work with my Avaya, Cisco, Mitel or NEC system?
If your system supports SIP, PRI or T1 trunks, HotelGenie can connect to it. That covers most Avaya, Cisco, Mitel and NEC hotel installs. We confirm your exact model and version on a demo before anything is scheduled.
Do we have to replace our room phones?
No. HotelGenie Voice Bridge supports analog and SIP handsets, so rooms can keep the phones guests already know. You can move some rooms to mobile, tablets or Alexa whenever you like.
What happens if the internet goes down?
HotelGenie pairs the cloud PBX with PhoneGenie Edge on site, so calling inside the property keeps working during an outage, 911 stays on a local line, and phones reconnect to the cloud automatically once the connection returns.
Can we start with our PBX and move to the cloud later?
Yes. Many properties start by adding E911 or the guest app to their current system, then move to the HotelGenie cloud PBX when the old system reaches end of life. We port your numbers when you are ready.
Do we keep our phone numbers?
Yes. Your main line, reservations and department numbers stay yours, whether you keep your PBX or move to ours.
